Our NekoPan Bakery .com is up!

Sakuran
www.nekopanbakery.com is up and running. I got it done about a week ago, and have been fixing bugs for the last while. (One of which is the fact that I designed the page around a larger ratio than I thought. I thought it was 1020, but it was actually 1280...Will fix)

A few people are playing on the forums, which is exciting.

Rough NekoPan outfits have been drafted and stitched, and hopefully I can tag Tearsa tomorrow and we can quantity test some of the recipes and get her measurements.

We've finally gotten word from Kumoricon, and the proper forms to fill out so we can get a space there. We're still debating as to what kind of space we want, and what kind of service we want to provide (there is a thread on the forums, let us know what you think).

Anyways, I'm happy enough with it.

Now off to get a business license... NekoPan NekoPan NekoPan on the brain....

It will get a makeover before too long, I don't like the layout in hindsight, but it works for now, I think! ^_^ Thank you for the comics!! :3 I swear I will have them linked to tomorrow! Love you ladycakes!

That would be cool. ^_^ The layout isn't very swank at this point, but considering I got it together in like, 2 hours, I'm happy. ^_^ Thanks for the heads up about hosting~~

No problem. I hope you end up liking them as much as I do.

The layout isn't bad, I see you're using frames, which is good (:D never found a more useful thing in web design personally) and I like the background image. The only thing I'd suggest in the future is changing the size of the layout... I know it's kind of an odd thing, but there's still some people in the world who are using 800x600 screen resolution (>_>; they either have a sucky monitor, are running windows 98, or just don't know they can change it!), so the layout may show up funny for them. When I make layouts I always try to make them so that they will look 'normal' (ish, xD; sometimes I use long images, but never wide ones) in 800x600 resolution and still look good in all the other resolutions. (which is also why there's always a fair bit of extra space to the right side of my layouts)

...Hmm but with frames I think it's a tad bit easier because the text frame will usually resize itself to fit the resolution of whoever is looking at the page, it's images that generally cause problems. But that's entirely up to you anyway, I think it looks wonderful as it is :D and there's a side scroll bar for anyone with a smaller resolution than what the page was made for. (xD; I only run 1024x768)

Ah good you picked YaBB. I think they're more secure than PhPBB... I just know I've had my forums hacked once, so since then I've been trying to figure out which installation is more secure :/ but then I'm also too lazy to redo my forum layout so I'll just probably never have a forum again.

Oh the contact page shows a 404 error for me, dunno if that's just my computer or what.

D: Sorry if any of this came out rude. *Hugs*

hehee, I don't mind critiques, we do them at school all the time. It's nice to have another set of eyes.

The page was designed at 1280 (on accident, I didn't realize the boy had played a game on the monitor and not changed back the resolution), I'm redoing it for 1020, that seems to be the norm....and yes on the longer images-- I need to crop mine down. It's just hard to juggle school and life and this project and the boy and so on. I didn't care too much to make an actual forum layout at this point. The project is just beginning, and it isn't life and death, I think. ^_^ There is a girl at school with me who is going into the Web Design profession, so I think I might hit her up for some cash to do a sweet layout for both of them, but until then, I'm happy. Hehee, yup, I just noticed this morning that I forgot to upload the contact page. :p hehee~ thanks for the critique!

Aaah I see. :3; He changes the resolution when he plays games? Odd.

Ah I agree, having a layout on a forum isn't life or death. I just personally liked having one on mine because I hated the default colors and such... and it can take a long time cause you have to replace images and such. So when my forum got hacked I lost all the work I had done ~_~ made me really upset.

Hm.. I should prolly indulge myself in the site, before I start
asking questions.. but meh.. questions first..

What is Nekopan? A real bakery?.. It sounds exciting, if it is.
so.. hm.. You've very cute.

Hm.. thank you kindly for the birthday sake.. we're enjoying
it this evening. -warmth-

Hehee, no problem with the questions, we get a lot of them. ^_^ NekoPan was a school project of mine that has taken on a life of its own and nibbled a nest out in my head somewhere...It started because I figured if I failed at my career, I would open a bakery instead...Some friends decided it was a cute idea, and everybody put something into the pot, and now it's turned into a Japanese style Maid Cafe & Bakery....

It's not a real bakery as of yet, it's just a project that we want to do at conventions and at festivals and whatnot. Basically it's an excuse to dress up in froofy clothes and serve cakes to boys and girls. :p We're going to try and get our business license and such by this summer so that we can work at the comic festival/anime convention in September....*shrug* I just made our costumes~ they are very cute!

You're very welcome for the sake~~ I'm glad you like it! Happiest of birthdays dearie~!
